In the 16th minute Lawrence De Marco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Åke Brovall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, IFK Fjärås's goal looked a bit too open when Clyde Schembri Zerafa came free, but Jens-Åke Brovall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jens-Åke Brovall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lawrence De Marco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thomas Zrinzo took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jens-Åke Brovall. The crowd rose to their feet as Attard Gunners's Clyde Schembri Zerafa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jens-Åke Brovall. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anton Billvall made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Lawrence De Marco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jens-Åke Brovall was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. After 57 minutes of play, Attard Gunners's Angelo Incorvaia made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jens-Åke Brovall was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the IFK Fjärås defense, Lawrence De Marco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jens-Åke Brovall. The IFK Fjärås fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jens-Åke Brovall should have stopped the shot. Attard Gunners made a substitution. Robert Gera replaced Thomas Zrinzo. When Robert Gera came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Attard Gunners fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert Gera couldn't finish the play. Attard Gunners walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
