When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Tigran Mosca sped through Seagulls's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jan-Joost Smeekes. Ralf Talsma struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Jedrzej Kieca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Seagulls. The supporters of Seagulls booed when KKS Lech Poznań was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobiasz Ciupierdo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jedrzej Kieca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ralf Talsma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ralf Talsma in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jedrzej Kieca saved KKS Lech Poznań from getting behind. Gilbert Raflewski struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Jan-Joost Smeekes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KKS Lech Poznań. 95 minutes into the match, Gilbert Raflewski notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Seagulls's Jan-Joost Smeekes. Jan-Joost Smeekes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Seagulls fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. KKS Lech Poznań were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
