Jan-Joost Smeekes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 12th minute Carsten Klaasens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurinho da Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Seagulls's Jan-Joost Smeekes got control of the ball when Ismael de Andrade tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Seagulls's Stef Pragt got a free kick in the 15th minute. Maurinho da Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Andriessen in the 18th minute of play. Maurinho da Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralf Talsma, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Stef Pragt kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After 34 minutes, Patrick da Rocha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FLU ES fc and the Seagulls players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 34 played minutes FLU ES fc got a freekick which was hit by Patrick da Rocha. In the 37th minute, Patrick da Rocha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FLU ES fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. FLU ES fc's Maurinho da Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carsten Klaasens in the 43rd minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ralf Talsma made a kick off. A collision led to FLU ES fc getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Gilson Xavier hit a great ball. Patrick da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Jan-Joost Smeekes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jan-Joost Smeekes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick da Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Jan-Joost Smeekes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick da Rocha in the 64th minute of play. Wilco Owusu Abeyie's late challenge caught a FLU ES fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilco Owusu Abeyie helped the player get up and apologised. Wilco Owusu Abeyie hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Jan-Joost Smeekes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick da Rocha in the 69th minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Gilson Xavier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jan-Joost Smeekes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 75 played minutes FLU ES fc got a freekick which was hit by Ismael de Andrade. 76 minutes into the match, FLU ES fc's goalkeeper Maurinho da Costa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilco Owusu Abeyie. Gilson Xavier hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Jan-Joost Smeekes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick da Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 4-0 became the score in the 90th minute when Patrick da Rocha elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Seagulls players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FLU ES fc.
