In the 11th minute Erik Stordal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uwe Nwachukwu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uwe Nwachukwu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdi Malkoçoğlu in the 13th minute of the match. Uwe Nwachukwu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Israel Petri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, Erik Stordal notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of FC Draconia's Uwe Nwachukwu. Uwe Nwachukwu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. FC Draconia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erik Stordal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 34th minute, Emanuel Van Damme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Uwe Nwachukwu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Stordal in the 36th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Erik Stordal notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of FC Draconia's Uwe Nwachukwu. Uwe Nwachukwu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to FC Draconia getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The wind increased when Erik Stordal made the kick off in the second half. Uwe Nwachukwu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Stordal, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Radowit Hetman scored 1-5 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Uwe Nwachukwu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abdi Malkoçoğlu got free with Uwe Nwachukwu in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of AEK FC booed when FC Draconia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Okan Buruk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uwe Nwachukwu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erik Stordal in the 61st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Israel Petri got free with Uwe Nwachukwu in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 69th minute of the match Klaus Dhondt shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Finn Eidsvåg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 78 minutes into the match, FC Draconia's goalkeeper Uwe Nwachukwu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Radowit Hetman. Radowit Hetman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Uwe Nwachukwu made a huge save. Uwe Nwachukwu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Israel Petri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uwe Nwachukwu was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Erik Stordal capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Erik Stordal really showed his touch with that goal: 1-9. After 89 minutes, Abdi Malkoçoğlu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AEK FC and the FC Draconia players grew even worse after the yellow card. AEK FC's Finn Eidsvåg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Etienne Langhmans in the 90th minute of play. Henrik Tjelle kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. It was beautiful to see FC Draconia's Klaus Dhondt in action when he in the 94th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! AEK FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
