Jairo Navas made a great header on ★ Lobos FC ★'s corner, it was just that Aguinhas's Faustão Gaspar managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cesar Oporto got free with Faustão Gaspar in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 33rd minute Augusto Hurtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustão Gaspar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Augusto Hurtado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Faustão Gaspar made a huge save. Buba Lopez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Gabriel Arósio in the 35th minute of play. In the 37th minute Aguinhas were awarded a corner. Vitório Lago went to the cornerflag to take it. Aguinhas's Vitório Lago was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Buba Lopez in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. ★ Lobos FC ★'s Angel Quijada got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot by Jairo Navas from long distance, 45 minutes into the match, got Faustão Gaspar's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Angel Quijada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustão Gaspar having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cléberson Leme was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in ★ Lobos FC ★'s zone, Vitório Lago stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Buba Lopez came out of the goal and Vitório Lago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Cesar Oporto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Faustão Gaspar was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Faustão Gaspar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Oporto, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Faustão Gaspar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Lozano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jorge Alvarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faustão Gaspar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Lozano, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute.
