Kristoffer Kellman hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. 4 minutes into the game, Filip Fisk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Elefanterna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olympique Fribourg the free kick. In the 14th minute Remo Pürro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Axel Häll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Axel Häll successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Virgill Van Dijk fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olympique Fribourg's protests and gave Virgill Van Dijk a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st match minute, Olympique Fribourg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgill Van Dijk to maneuver through the defense. Mateo Esiquio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Axel Häll having to interfere. Axel Häll didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bruno Steiner went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Elefanterna defense, Remo Pürro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Axel Häll. The Elefanterna fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Axel Häll should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristoffer Kondor in the 41st minute of play forced Olympique Fribourg's goalkeeper Tristan Arioli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Kristoffer Kellman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olympique Fribourg's Bruno Steiner couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 44th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Elefanterna. The crowd rose to their feet as Olympique Fribourg's Mateo Esiquio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Axel Häll. That made the score 5-0 after 46 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

52 minutes into the match, Olympique Fribourg's goalkeeper Tristan Arioli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henrik Häger. Axel Häll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mich Batshuayi in the 57th minute of the match. Axel Häll didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Remo Pürro went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Olympique Fribourg's Tristan Arioli got control of the ball when Henrik Häger tried to sneak it across the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Elefanterna's goal looked a bit too open when Mich Batshuayi came free, but Axel Häll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Remo Pürro took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Axel Häll. Axel Häll dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. In the 72nd minute, Kristoffer Kellman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kristoffer Kellman was shown his second yellow card after 74 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Elefanterna's Kristoffer Kellman got a free kick in the 75th minute. Kristoffer Kondor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the match, Olympique Fribourg's goal looked a bit too open when Henrik Häger came free, but Tristan Arioli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mateo Esiquio scored 10-0 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Axel Häll, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Olympique Fribourg had played much better football throughout.
