But to his dismay, Cássio Paes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The audience was convinced that Edu Nóbrega's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alain Heuze was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Sixto Gurutz struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Edmílson Britto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Internet XAire. In the 30th minute, Cássio Paes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alain Heuze was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Edmílson Britto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andrés Inocente's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrés Inocente in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edmílson Britto saved Trindade Atlético Club from getting behind. A collision led to Internet XAire getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Anastasio Corderun hit a great ball. Alain Heuze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giovani Sergipano, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.
