With a left leg Edmílson Britto saved Trindade Atlético Club from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basarab Seremet during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 10 played minutes FC Cosula-BTF- got a freekick which was hit by Basarab Seremet. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Cosula-BTF-! In the 14th minute Olimpiu Teodorescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmílson Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute FC Cosula-BTF- were awarded a corner. Basarab Seremet went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Basarab Seremet got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edmílson Britto quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Yan Pereira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Ilie Brumaru made a huge save. Olimpiu Teodorescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmílson Britto having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olimpiu Teodorescu in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmílson Britto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thanks to some nice moves Edu Nóbrega could shoot a difficult shot in the 30th minute, which Ilie Brumaru however easily saved by the left post. The FC Cosula-BTF- fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when FC Cosula-BTF-'s Olimpiu Teodorescu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Trindade Atlético Club getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Luís Fábio Carvalho hit a great ball. Trindade Atlético Club's Edmílson Britto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olimpiu Teodorescu in the 42nd minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Olimpiu Teodorescu made the kick off in the second half. Gheorghe Chițan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmílson Britto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Edmílson Britto was a little too slow when Petruț Dugulescu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 1-2. In the 60th minute, Yan Pereira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 62 minutes, Olimpiu Teodorescu made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Trindade Atlético Club's Edmílson Britto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ilie Brumaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Paes in the 65th minute of play. Olimpiu Teodorescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Edmílson Britto made a huge save. Edmílson Britto was a little too slow when Olimpiu Teodorescu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 1-4. Giovani Sergipano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute of the match Sergiu Rădoi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edmílson Britto skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of FC Cosula-BTF- booed when Trindade Atlético Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Netto didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Edu Nóbrega fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trindade Atlético Club's protests and gave Edu Nóbrega a yellow card for diving instead. After 82 played minutes Trindade Atlético Club got a freekick which was hit by Edu Nóbrega. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 1-6 when Olimpiu Teodorescu sped through Trindade Atlético Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edmílson Britto. The FC Cosula-BTF- supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Cosula-BTF- would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
