Bingen Madariaga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ladislao Ruisko, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mads Kollar in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicolas Sandaili prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 25th minute, Maximino Navarro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vélez Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 29 minutes into the match, Vélez Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Mads Kollar came free, but Nicolas Sandaili reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Vélez Juniors's Gogo Iratzeder got a free kick in the 30th minute. 33 minutes into the match, Vélez Juniors's Amancio Godoy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bingen Madariaga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nueva Adalucia's Bingen Madariaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Navarro in the 34th minute of play. Vélez Juniors's Nicolas Sandaili proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Vélez Juniors from getting a goal against them. In the 43rd match minute, Vélez Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benito Guillelmus to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Nueva Adalucia's Leocadio Sirvent got a free kick in the 47th minute. The Nueva Adalucia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vélez Juniors were winning 1-2.

In the 53rd minute, Vélez Juniors's Amancio Godoy dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Amancio Godoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Bingen Madariaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 63 played minutes, Nueva Adalucia's Heli Quintas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nicolas Sandaili came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nueva Adalucia reached it. After 64 minutes, Flavio Lugo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vélez Juniors and the Nueva Adalucia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th minute, Flavio Lugo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute of the match Heli Quintas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicolas Sandaili skillfully saved the ball. When Amancio Godoy came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Vélez Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amancio Godoy couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mads Kollar during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 70 played minutes Nueva Adalucia got a freekick which was hit by Mads Kollar. Maximino Navarro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bingen Madariaga having to interfere. Vélez Juniors's Ulises Sandaili was substituted for Amancio Godoy. Ulises Sandaili's late challenge caught a Nueva Adalucia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulises Sandaili helped the player get up and apologised. When Tomás Bordat fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vélez Juniors's protests and gave Tomás Bordat a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Nueva Adalucia booed when Vélez Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Bordat didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 77 minutes, Heli Quintas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nueva Adalucia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Heli Quintas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bingen Madariaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gogo Iratzeder in the 79th minute of play. The supporters of Vélez Juniors booed when Nueva Adalucia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mads Kollar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ladislao Ruisko struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Bingen Madariaga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vélez Juniors. In the 87th minute, Raul Enetz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Heli Quintas kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The Vélez Juniors players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
