In the 17th minute, Vélez Juniors's Maximino Navarro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Nicolas Sandaili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fiori Ferraz in the 20th minute of play. Vélez Juniors's Nicolas Sandaili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cido Paranaense in the 27th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Brazil Academy's goalkeeper Juan Montenegro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ladislao Ruisko. The supporters of Brazil Academy booed when Vélez Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximino Navarro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 37 minutes of play, Vélez Juniors's Maximino Navarro made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Montenegro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Juan Montenegro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulises Sandaili's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. 42 minutes into the game, Higinio Machado recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Juan Montenegro. Higinio Machado showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. After 45 minutes, Ulises Cristofol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vélez Juniors and the Brazil Academy players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 45 played minutes Vélez Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Ulises Cristofol. With a little luck, Brazil Academy's Juan Montenegro got control of the ball when Ladislao Ruisko tried to sneak it across the goal line. Róbson Simão hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Juan Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulises Sandaili in the 48th minute of the match.

Brazil Academy's Juan Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Navarro in the 52nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Maximino Navarro put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Juan Montenegro. João Azevedo hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Ulises Sandaili fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Montenegro having to interfere. Juan Montenegro came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Vélez Juniors's Higinio Machado. But to his dismay, Higinio Machado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. 62 minutes into the match, Brazil Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Higinio Machado came free, but Juan Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Brazil Academy defense, Higinio Machado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan Montenegro. The Brazil Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Montenegro should have stopped the shot. Maximino Navarro hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Vélez Juniors made a substitution. Rogelio Madeo replaced Ulises Sandaili. Juan Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximino Navarro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Madeo, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 80th minute Higinio Machado collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. 80 minutes into the game, Rony Aparecido was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brazil Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vélez Juniors the free kick. Vélez Juniors's Mateo Gonzo was substituted for Higinio Machado. 82 minutes into the match, Brazil Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Rogelio Madeo came free, but Juan Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximino Navarro in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th minute Rogelio Madeo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximino Navarro took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juan Montenegro. Juan Montenegro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-1. In the 89th minute, Maximino Navarro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vélez Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-1. Rogelio Madeo scored 10-1 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan Montenegro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vélez Juniors's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
