The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sergiu Angheluță made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago de Queiroz in the 5th minute of play. Cazimir Zăraşcu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Dalmo Sergipano made a huge save. 7 minutes into the game, Thiago de Queiroz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FALCÕES VERDES's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Champions Iasi the free kick. A collision led to FALCÕES VERDES getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Thiago de Queiroz hit a great ball. Dalmo Sergipano made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Cazimir Zăraşcu sent off a good shot on target. Eduard Ghișe hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Sergiu Angheluță took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaltino Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cazimir Zăraşcu got free with Dalmo Sergipano in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaltino Castro in the 25th minute of play forced Champions Iasi's goalkeeper Sergiu Angheluță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the game, FALCÕES VERDES's Isaltino Castro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sergiu Angheluță made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 32 played minutes Champions Iasi got a freekick which was hit by Eduard Ghișe. With 36 minutes on the clock, Richard Vieira commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 37 played minutes FALCÕES VERDES got a freekick which was hit by Richard Vieira. When George Vâlcu came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Champions Iasi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that George Vâlcu couldn't finish the play. Cazimir Zăraşcu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dalmo Sergipano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Dalmo Sergipano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Tarcu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Champions Iasi booed when FALCÕES VERDES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thiago de Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cazimir Zăraşcu to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes, FALCÕES VERDES's Valdo Soeiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sergiu Angheluță came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FALCÕES VERDES reached it. Dalmo Sergipano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Vâlcu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th match minute, Champions Iasi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marin Albescu to maneuver through the defense. After 66 played minutes, FALCÕES VERDES's Valdo Soeiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sergiu Angheluță came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. After 78 played minutes FALCÕES VERDES got a freekick which was hit by Ramón Carvalho. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baltazar Tepedino during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FALCÕES VERDES getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Baltazar Tepedino hit a great ball. In the 81st minute of the match George Vâlcu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dalmo Sergipano skillfully saved the ball. Cazimir Zăraşcu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo Sergipano having to interfere. Dalmo Sergipano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cazimir Zăraşcu went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. For all the effort they put into the match, the FALCÕES VERDES players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Champions Iasi.
