The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonard Stephansson got free with Dalmo Sergipano in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FALCÕES VERDES's Dalmo Sergipano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Ove Kjellbom in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute Knut Kinnman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmo Sergipano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute, Stig-Ove Kjellbom left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Six Pac FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Chuck Ruff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltazar Tepedino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Durvalino Veiga struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Dalmo Sergipano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Six Pac FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvin Sandberg in the 24th minute of play forced FALCÕES VERDES's goalkeeper Dalmo Sergipano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But to his dismay, Júlio Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Júlio Fonseca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Clóvis Marinho hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match.
