In the 3rd match minute, Champions Iasi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ioan Jupâneanu to maneuver through the defense. In the 4th minute, Isaltino Castro made a precise shot to the right of Sergiu Angheluță. Champions Iasi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. A collision led to Champions Iasi getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Marin Albescu hit a great ball. Isaltino Castro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sergiu Angheluță came out and tried to block the shot, but Isaltino Castro slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 12th minute. Júlio Fonseca hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Júlio Fonseca scored 3-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sergiu Angheluță, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thiago de Queiroz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sergiu Angheluță came out and tried to block the shot, but Thiago de Queiroz slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 23rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thiago de Queiroz got free with Sergiu Angheluță in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sergiu Angheluță showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Fonseca in the 31st minute of the match. Champions Iasi's Sergiu Angheluță proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Champions Iasi from getting a goal against them. Sergiu Angheluță was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Júlio Fonseca capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Júlio Fonseca really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. In the 38th match minute, FALCÕES VERDES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Vieira to maneuver through the defense. 41 minutes into the match, FALCÕES VERDES's goal looked a bit too open when Dacian Jumancă came free, but Dalmo Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cazimir Zăraşcu made a kick off. After a rather tough play, FALCÕES VERDES's Júlio Fonseca got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After some careless play in the Champions Iasi defense, Thiago de Queiroz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sergiu Angheluță. The Champions Iasi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sergiu Angheluță should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Fonseca in the 63rd minute of play forced Champions Iasi's goalkeeper Sergiu Angheluță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isaltino Castro hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Champions Iasi's Sergiu Angheluță played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltazar Tepedino in the 66th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niculae Măgureanu during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Champions Iasi's Niculae Măgureanu got a free kick in the 68th minute. Dalmo Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sorin Năsturel, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd match minute, Champions Iasi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dacian Jumancă to maneuver through the defense. Sergiu Angheluță came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by FALCÕES VERDES's Isaltino Castro. But to his dismay, Isaltino Castro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. In the 81st minute, Thiago de Queiroz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sergiu Angheluță was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Sergiu Angheluță stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Júlio Fonseca's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. After 90 played minutes Champions Iasi got a freekick which was hit by Eduard Ghișe. FALCÕES VERDES's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
