Virgil Olariu made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Melquiades Venceslas sent off a good shot on target. Melquiades Venceslas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Virgil Olariu made a huge save. Costel Neagoe lost his temper 18 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 17 minutes into the game, one of Paralia Athens:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Claudio Senio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mike Cai's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. After 29 played minutes Villa Mitre City got a freekick which was hit by Ildefonso Gonchan. In the 30th minute Mike Cai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Senio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugo Medardo got free with Virgil Olariu in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Melquiades Venceslas sped through Paralia Athens's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Virgil Olariu. Mircea Robu's late challenge caught a Villa Mitre City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mircea Robu helped the player get up and apologised.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Melquiades Venceslas to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Mike Cai left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paralia Athens fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. When Ildefonso Gonchan fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villa Mitre City's protests and gave Ildefonso Gonchan a yellow card for diving instead. 60 minutes into the match, Villa Mitre City's goal looked a bit too open when Mike Cai came free, but Claudio Senio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mike Cai's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudio Senio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Mike Cai might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudio Senio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mike Cai ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 67th minute Mike Cai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Senio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70thth minute of the game Mike Cai who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villa Mitre City's Claudio Senio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mike Cai had several of the Villa Mitre City's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 71 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Claudio Senio as he didn't even see the shot coming. Paralia Athens made a substitution. Gürkan Akaydın replaced 柯洲远. Mike Cai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ildefonso Gonchan was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 78 minutes had been played. After 79 played minutes Villa Mitre City got a freekick which was hit by Ildefonso Gonchan. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mike Cai in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudio Senio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 91st match minute, Paralia Athens was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mike Cai to maneuver through the defense. Rolf Biörling kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Despite being the better team, Villa Mitre City failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
