The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Henning Sæmer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arlín Telleria in the 3rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kirstein Luvard in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oso Udoy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sindre Walle hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. The supporters of Red Reign booed when FC Nordsjælland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl Hermer didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Héctor Neli in the 15th minute of play forced FC Nordsjælland's goalkeeper Henning Sæmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oso Udoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kirstein Luvard in the 18th minute of the match. The supporters of FC Nordsjælland booed when Red Reign was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arlín Telleria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mateo Guareña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henning Sæmer having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, FC Nordsjælland's goal looked a bit too open when Arlín Telleria came free, but Henning Sæmer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Héctor Neli kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Nordsjælland's zone, Mateo Guareña stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henning Sæmer came out of the goal and Mateo Guareña tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mateo Guareña to strike the kick off in the second half. Mateo Guareña hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. 53 minutes into the game, Red Reign's Mateo Guareña nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henning Sæmer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Mateo Guareña recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 57 minutes into the match, Mateo Guareña notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of FC Nordsjælland's Henning Sæmer. Henning Sæmer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Henning Sæmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateo Guareña in the 60th minute of play. After some careless play in the FC Nordsjælland defense, Mateo Guareña kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henning Sæmer. The FC Nordsjælland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henning Sæmer should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Red Reign's Vicente Fontevilla got a free kick in the 66th minute. Kennet Ingversen made in the 73rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Anders Boutrup. FC Nordsjælland's Henning Sæmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateo Guareña in the 78th minute of play. After 87 played minutes FC Nordsjælland got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Bernhoft. After 88 played minutes, Red Reign's Héctor Neli shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Henning Sæmer came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Red Reign reached it. Henning Sæmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arlín Telleria in the 92nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Arlín Telleria's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henning Sæmer was relentless in the 94th minute of the game.
