59 minutes into the game, Artemio Turi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. chacarita juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palermo the free kick. After 59 played minutes chacarita juniors got a freekick which was hit by Artemio Turi. If Nicanor Gaufred had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 62 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Primitivo Claus came free, but Enrique Lekubegi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Generoso Gonchan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Donato Vachon's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. chacarita juniors's Artemio Turi got his second yellow card of the match in the 70th minute. The referee ordered Artemio Turi off the ground. If Nicanor Gaufred had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute, Alfredo Quintun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donato Vachon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Generoso Gonchan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Primitivo Claus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Lekubegi having to interfere. Vicente Eutor hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After 93 played minutes chacarita juniors got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Claus. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
