Alfredinho Freitas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benigno Ilazki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Mainumby's Cristian Elequemedo was substituted for Tomás Pepillo. The Mainumby players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SORRISO E. C. were winning 0-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gerardo Oinatz to strike the kick off in the second half. Isaac Urtungo hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 56th match minute, Mainumby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Elequemedo to maneuver through the defense. SORRISO E. C.'s Bernardinho Freitas was substituted for Válter Ceresso. In the 58th minute, Cristian Elequemedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mainumby's Benigno Ilazki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maicon Oliveira in the 59th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, SORRISO E. C.'s Maicon Oliveira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benigno Ilazki narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Mainumby's zone, Maicon Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benigno Ilazki came out of the goal and Maicon Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maicon Oliveira in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benigno Ilazki saved Mainumby from getting behind. Maicon Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 76th minute Maicon Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benigno Ilazki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. C.'s Cyryl Lemiesz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benigno Ilazki came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SORRISO E. C. reached it. The crowd rose to their feet as SORRISO E. C.'s Maicon Oliveira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benigno Ilazki. That made the score 0-3 after 85 minutes of play. Maicon Oliveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SORRISO E. C.'s Maicon Oliveira was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 91st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Conrado Nisio charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Conrado Nisio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94th minute, Conrado Nisio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mainumby's Benigno Ilazki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maicon Oliveira in the 95th minute of play. SORRISO E. C.'s Davi Isac got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SORRISO E. C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
