In the 11th minute, Francisco Bleyer made a precise shot to the right of Francesco Colasante. A.C. Patagonia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo Corrente in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Toto Caputo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Corrente in the 17th minute of play forced Fire Devils's goalkeeper Toto Caputo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fire Devils's Toto Caputo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Corrente in the 21st minute of play. The A.C. Patagonia fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when A.C. Patagonia's Alfredo Corrente looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 30 minutes into the match, Fire Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Corrente came free, but Toto Caputo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, A.C. Patagonia's Francesco Colasante got control of the ball when Leander Uliassi tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 36th minute, Alfredo De Cesaris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arturo Maldini struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Toto Caputo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.C. Patagonia. Toto Caputo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfredo Corrente's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. A.C. Patagonia's Cosimo Benedetti got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Fire Devils's Leander Uliassi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfredo Corrente was the one to do the kick off. Toto Caputo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosimo Benedetti in the 55th minute of the match. Alfredo Corrente could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Toto Caputo made a huge save. 60 minutes into the game, Cosimo Benedetti recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Toto Caputo. Cosimo Benedetti showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. In the 63rd minute, Leander Uliassi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfredo Correntes short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Toto Caputo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Francesco Colasante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leander Uliassi in the 68th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Moreno Torricelli during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Fire Devils booed when A.C. Patagonia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moreno Torricelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fire Devils's Toto Caputo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Corrente in the 74th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Fire Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Corrente came free, but Toto Caputo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dario Mancinelli charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dario Mancinelli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 80 played minutes A.C. Patagonia got a freekick which was hit by Dario Mancinelli. The audience was convinced that Alfredo Corrente's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Toto Caputo was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. In the 85th minute A.C. Patagonia were awarded a corner. Francesco Goffredo went to the cornerflag to take it. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Alfredo Corrente managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.C. Patagonia's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Corrente was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toto Caputo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Denis Lambrozzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cosimo Benedetti during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 92 played minutes A.C. Patagonia got a freekick which was hit by Cosimo Benedetti. Leander Uliassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Francesco Colasante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. A.C. Patagonia had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
