Fabio Filipo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noel Imbreghts in the 7th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Noel Imbreghts left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Ouagadougou National fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Noel Imbreghts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 26th minute, Noel Imbreghts ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabio Filipo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 31st match minute, Mi querida Fabiola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Vigil to maneuver through the defense. Ben Jaddon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Belo, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Fabio Filipo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Noel Imbreghts's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute, Ceferino Belmiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Noel Imbreghts sped through Mi querida Fabiola's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fabio Filipo. Issa Bado scored 0-5 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabio Filipo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half FC Ouagadougou National were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ezequiel Argenis to strike the kick off in the second half. Ceferino Belmiro hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Fabio Filipo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Noel Imbreghts's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Peter-Jan Goovaers kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Noel Imbreghts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacques Lambert hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the match, FC Ouagadougou National's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Vigil came free, but Ben Jaddon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flavio Vigil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
