Leonides Donostia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Law, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Denis Law took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonides Donostia. Leonides Donostia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, AFC United's Pirro Pereta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonides Donostia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Archibaldo Ahumada hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. The supporters of Prensadito Fulbo Clu booed when AFC United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Balesio Leiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Prensadito Fulbo Clu getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Tomas Isidor hit a great ball. After 33 played minutes Prensadito Fulbo Clu got a freekick which was hit by Angel Senon. Prensadito Fulbo Clu's Leonides Donostia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Law in the 41st minute of play. After some careless play in the Prensadito Fulbo Clu defense, Edwin Ortiz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonides Donostia. The Prensadito Fulbo Clu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonides Donostia should have stopped the shot. In the 48th minute, Pirro Pereta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonides Donostia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Angel Senon made a kick off. Prensadito Fulbo Clu's Leonides Donostia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Prensadito Fulbo Clu from getting a goal against them. Pirro Pereta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 63rd match minute, AFC United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eleder Borrellino to maneuver through the defense. Pirro Pereta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Leonides Donostia made a huge save. In the 74th minute of the match Osvaldo Tab shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frasco Esquivel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Emiliano Santos hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Archibaldo Ahumada took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leonides Donostia. Prensadito Fulbo Clu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Angel Senon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Prensadito Fulbo Clu's supporters rose to their feet, but Angel Senon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frasco Esquivel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
