The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 35th minute, Petruț Crivac hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Tiberiu Rotariu hit a great ball. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Vlad Covrig proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca from getting a goal against them. José Augusto de Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Cârlan in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calistrat Şerbănescu in the 42nd minute of play forced AF CERRADO's goalkeeper José Augusto de Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damian Cârlan in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Augusto de Godoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The wind increased when Kaká Goiano made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Adrian Bârsan threw the ball into play from the sideline. AF CERRADO's Didi Gaúcho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some careless play in the PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca defense, Renatinho Leal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vlad Covrig. The PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vlad Covrig should have stopped the shot. 57 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goalkeeper José Augusto de Godoi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Calistrat Şerbănescu. José Augusto de Godoi made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Calistrat Şerbănescu sent off a good shot on target. After 74 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Olimpiu Fecioru. After 76 played minutes, AF CERRADO's Richard Travassos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vlad Covrig came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AF CERRADO reached it. José Augusto de Godoi was a little too slow when Damian Cârlan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 2-5. José Augusto de Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Cârlan in the 84th minute of play. In the 87thth minute of the game Damian Cârlan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AF CERRADO's José Augusto de Godoi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Calistrat Şerbănescu got free with José Augusto de Godoi in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
