Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Guido Oriol took the kick off in the first half of the match. Florentin Gougeon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Albino Hitz made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Valencia C.F.'s Miguel Brito got a free kick in the 6th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gaudencio Clis during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Valencia C.F. booed when AC LeX Luthor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaudencio Clis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albino Hitz came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Valencia C.F.'s Florentin Gougeon. But to his dismay, Florentin Gougeon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Valencia C.F.'s Andoni Zubizarreta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Oriol in the 18th minute of play. With his leg Albino Hitz managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Valencia C.F.'s Florentin Gougeon fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. AC LeX Luthor's Gaudencio Clis managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Miguel Brito in the 25 minute of the game. 29 minutes into the game, Florentin Gougeon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Albino Hitz. Florentin Gougeon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 31st minute, Florentin Gougeon reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Albino Hitz. The goal made the score 3-0. Albino Hitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mário Kempes in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florentin Gougeon in the 38th minute of play forced AC LeX Luthor's goalkeeper Albino Hitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albino Hitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florentin Gougeon, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Saul Txatxu's late challenge caught a Valencia C.F.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Saul Txatxu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, AC LeX Luthor's Saul Txatxu got a free kick in the 44th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mário Kempes made a kick off. Ken Singleton was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 51 minutes into the match. In the 52nd minute, Ken Singleton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nino Jeanneret fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 56th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. In the 57th match minute, AC LeX Luthor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Elivareo to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute, Mário Kempes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albino Hitz was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 64th minute Diego López shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albino Hitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mário Kempes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Valencia C.F. getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Miguel Brito hit a great ball. Albino Hitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego López in the 75th minute of the match. Mário Kempes struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Albino Hitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valencia C.F.. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mário Kempes in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albino Hitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Valencia C.F.'s Miguel Brito managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gaudencio Clis in the 83 minute of the game. Lyazzide Lyachenkov made in the 84th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Florentino Beliran. After a rather tough play, Valencia C.F.'s Cristian Mosquera got a free kick in the 85th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Lyazzide Lyachenkov in the 88th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Valencia C.F.'s Fran Pérez. After some careless play in the AC LeX Luthor defense, Mário Kempes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albino Hitz. The AC LeX Luthor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albino Hitz should have stopped the shot. Valencia C.F.'s Mário Kempes quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Lyazzide Lyachenkov, made in the 93rd minute of the game. Valencia C.F.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
