After a rather tough play, San Lorenzo's Diego Balendin got a free kick in the 17th minute. Hjalmar Håkansson charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hjalmar Håkansson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hjalmar Håkansson hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Robin Bäckström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Balendin in the 20th minute of the match. San Lorenzo's Anier Oidor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save San Lorenzo from getting a goal against them. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christian Olofsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arnaldo Hurko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 50th minute of the match, but Robin Bäckström made a huge save. Anier Oidor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hu Zhen Di in the 51st minute of play. Hao Yuan Guang struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Anier Oidor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Northmen Army. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hao Yuan Guang in the 57th minute of play forced San Lorenzo's goalkeeper Anier Oidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Northmen Army's Teobald Polakowski was substituted for Christian Olofsson. Teobald Polakowski scored 1-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anier Oidor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The corner went over the outstretched arms of The Northmen Army's goalie and right to Diego Balendin. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. The Northmen Army's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Igor Bozakov during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. San Lorenzo's Anier Oidor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobald Polakowski in the 95th minute of play. The Northmen Army walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
