Florentin Gougeon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodrigo Paublo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Andoni Zubizarreta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florentin Gougeon in the 6th minute of play forced AC LeX Luthor's goalkeeper Albino Hitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 9 played minutes Valencia C.F. got a freekick which was hit by Florentin Gougeon. Florentin Gougeon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Albino Hitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diego López charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diego López the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th match minute, Valencia C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego López to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florentin Gougeon in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albino Hitz saved AC LeX Luthor from getting behind. In the 22nd minute, Florentin Gougeon made a precise shot to the right of Albino Hitz. AC LeX Luthor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Rodrigo Paublo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Andoni Zubizarreta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The throw-in from Saul Txatxu in the 32nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Valencia C.F.'s Zackary Jenkins. David Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Florentin Gougeon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Albino Hitz. AC LeX Luthor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florentin Gougeon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Florentin Gougeon made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of AC LeX Luthor booed when Valencia C.F. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zackary Jenkins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albino Hitz stood somewhat misplaced when Florentin Gougeon came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 57 minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florentin Gougeon got free with Albino Hitz in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Saul Txatxu got a throw-in 77 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Aaron Timo. Amancio Elizardo hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Florentin Gougeon's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Albino Hitz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of AC LeX Luthor booed when Valencia C.F. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zackary Jenkins didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, AC LeX Luthor's Albino Hitz got control of the ball when Florentin Gougeon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Andoni Zubizarreta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodrigo Paublo's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Valencia C.F.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
