The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in BMB IMOVEIS SC's zone, Hans Lavallée stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sérgio de Azevedo came out of the goal and Hans Lavallée tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horace Vaughn got free with Sérgio de Azevedo in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Paranaense in the 5th minute of play forced Flames FC's goalkeeper Tomas Donovan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Donovan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luiz Vides, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Flames FC's Tomas Donovan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Luiz Vides in the 12th minute of play. After a rather tough play, BMB IMOVEIS SC's André Luiz Vides got a free kick in the 15th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Emanuel Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot. BMB IMOVEIS SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Paranaense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomas Donovan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute Cafu de Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Donovan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute BMB IMOVEIS SC were awarded a corner. Hélder Melo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Mathias Vidal almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Flames FC's Tomas Donovan did a great save. Sérgio de Azevedo came out of the goal and Micheal Burnham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hans Lavallée struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Sérgio de Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flames FC. 33 minutes into the game, André Luiz Vides was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BMB IMOVEIS SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flames FC the free kick. In the 33rd match minute, BMB IMOVEIS SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Luiz Vides to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Donovan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Luiz Vides, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. BMB IMOVEIS SC's Cafu de Senna got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horace Vaughn in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sérgio de Azevedo saved BMB IMOVEIS SC from getting behind. The referee felt a red card was in order, 45 minutes into the game, when Hélder Melo put in a rough tackle. When the match had been going on for 47 minutes, Flames FC's Micheal Burnham got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Sérgio de Azevedo. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 52nd match minute, Flames FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darin Nunn to maneuver through the defense. Mathias Vidal hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cafu de Senna during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Flames FC booed when BMB IMOVEIS SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cafu de Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Orval Crow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Sérgio de Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Donovan made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Emanuel Paranaense sent off a good shot on target. Sérgio de Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horace Vaughn's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. The referee ignored BMB IMOVEIS SC's protests and gave Dedé Alagoano a yellow card for diving instead. After 73 played minutes BMB IMOVEIS SC got a freekick which was hit by Dedé Alagoano. Darin Nunn hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. If Emanuel Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sérgio de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horace Vaughn in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute Horace Vaughn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Horace Vaughn put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sérgio de Azevedo. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Flames FC had won after a very even match.
