After a defensive mix-up in Boulogne F.C.'s zone, Philippe Vehma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodosio Macerio came out of the goal and Philippe Vehma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 6 minutes into the game, Eugene Mullis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Teodosio Macerio. Eugene Mullis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Philippe Vehma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Igor Elizardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Marian Anderjoli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Boulogne F.C.'s goalkeeper Teodosio Macerio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Victorino Garci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Marian Anderjoli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Philippe Vehma got free with Teodosio Macerio in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Teodosio Macerio made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Eugene Mullis sent off a good shot on target. Igor Elizardo charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Igor Elizardo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th match minute, Boulogne F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Elizardo to maneuver through the defense. Marian Anderjoli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Elizardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Igor Elizardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boulogne F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Elizardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marian Anderjoli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gualtiero Nacht sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teodosio Macerio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gualtiero Nacht's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gualtiero Nacht stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Igor Elizardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marian Anderjoli having to interfere. Zelg FC's Marian Anderjoli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Zelg FC from getting a goal against them. In the 74th minute, Zelg FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Victorino Garci fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 74th minute Igor Elizardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Anderjoli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boulogne F.C. were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after Zelg FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Victorino Garci took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Victorino Garci got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marian Anderjoli quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Teodosio Macerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualtiero Nacht, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Teodosio Macerio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugene Mullis in the 81st minute of play. Igor Elizardo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Marian Anderjoli when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Zelg FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Boulogne F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
