In the 12th minute Otávio Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Pernambucano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artur Pernambucano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bater Cuca's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otávio Meirelles in the 31st minute of play forced Manly FC's goalkeeper Artur Pernambucano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mister Yasin ran back to his position shaking his head.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bater Cuca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Otávio Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Manly FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Mac Allister hit a great ball.
