The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Manly FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Domenichetti to maneuver through the defense. 4 minutes into the match, Manly FC's Mister Yasin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Francisco Loyola narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 9th minute, Dedê Freire got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mister Yasin scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Francisco Loyola, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bruno Domenichetti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. João Francisco Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mister Yasin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Manly FC's Artur Pernambucano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Güray Arıkhan in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Manly FC's goalkeeper Artur Pernambucano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Telmo Cruz. Manly FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ the free kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bruno Domenichetti was the one to do the kick off. Manly FC's Bruno Domenichetti got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Manly FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ throughout the match.
