Academia 1903's supporters crossed their fingers, but Epifanio Hermelando was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Pragmáticos 1903's Renato de Azevedo got a free kick in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Naldo Barbosa in the 16th minute of play forced Academia 1903's goalkeeper Fidel Tadzio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Academia 1903's zone, Vito Furlan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fidel Tadzio came out of the goal and Vito Furlan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pragmáticos 1903's Ismael de Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Epifanio Hermelando in the 18th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Vito Furlan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fidel Tadzio was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Fidel Tadzio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lefter-Can-Gökdeniz Von Euler-Chelpin, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. If Vito Furlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Academia 1903 getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Abel Lartaun hit a great ball. Vito Furlan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fidel Tadzio. Academia 1903's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Academia 1903's Fidel Tadzio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naldo Barbosa in the 28th minute of play. In the 33rd minute Naldo Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Tadzio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fidel Tadzio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vito Furlan in the 42nd minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Epifanio Hermelando stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pragmáticos 1903's Ismael de Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Epifanio Hermelando in the 55th minute of play. Naldo Barbosa made a great header on Pragmáticos 1903's corner, it was just that Academia 1903's Fidel Tadzio managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 88th match minute, Academia 1903 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Pero to maneuver through the defense. Vito Furlan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Fidel Tadzio made a huge save. Academia 1903's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Leonel Linhares 98 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. When the final whistle sounded Pragmáticos 1903 left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Academia 1903.
