In the 3rd match minute, 1947 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Egoitz to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th minute Isidro Gaskon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Orlondon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basilio Ticho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abel Egoitz in the 12th minute. After having played for 16 minutes, Nico Bonachea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 1947 FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nico Bonachea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 18th minute Abel Egoitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Ticho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Freddy Ireno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Pedro Orlondon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aquiles Talone was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 26 minutes into the match. Aquiles Talone hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After 30 minutes Tigres Ñacuñán FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ezequiel Kepa who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Alejandro Duarte managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Pedro Orlondon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Galtero in the 36th minute of play. After a rather tough play, 1947 FC's Geronimo Cloyo got a free kick in the 38th minute. After some careless play in the 1947 FC defense, Ismael Galtero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Orlondon. The 1947 FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Orlondon should have stopped the shot. Freddy Ireno hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nico Bonachea was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Tigres Ñacuñán FC booed when 1947 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Kepa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isidro Gaskon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Orlondon having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Freddy Ireno kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedro Orlondon. That made the score 0-2 in the 61 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Ismael Galtero took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Pedro Orlondon to make any attempt to save it. Pedro Orlondon made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Ismael Galtero sent off a good shot on target. After 73 minutes of play, 1947 FC's Nico Bonachea made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basilio Ticho was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, 1947 FC's Nestor Rolado got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 77th minute, Freddy Ireno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78th minute, Zeledon Hug hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th match minute, 1947 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeledon Hug to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Isidro Gaskon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedro Orlondon. That made the score 1-4 in the 82 minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Tigres Ñacuñán FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Egoitz came free, but Basilio Ticho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nico Bonachea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Basilio Ticho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. 1947 FC were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after Tigres Ñacuñán FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ezequiel Kepa took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Nestor Rolado managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The Tigres Ñacuñán FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
