An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Erosa in the 10th minute of play forced Capibaribe Stars's goalkeeper Sérgio Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Capibaribe Stars getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Serginho Koehler hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Cornel Bodiu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sérgio Queiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Sérgio Queiroz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cornel Bodiu in the 22nd minute. A collision led to Capibaribe Stars getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Fabinho Vasconcelos hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute, Eliseu de Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cornel Bodiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Francisco Moura hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Raimundo Camargo put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ion Chificeac. In the 31st minute Váldson de Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ion Chificeac saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeu da Silveira in the 34th minute of play forced Alex Team's goalkeeper Ion Chificeac to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Alex Team's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Camargo came free, but Ion Chificeac reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute Cornel Bodiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 37 played minutes Capibaribe Stars got a freekick which was hit by Nico Penha. 38 minutes into the game, Cornel Bodiu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alex Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Capibaribe Stars the free kick. A collision led to Alex Team getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Cornel Bodiu hit a great ball. After 40 minutes, Eliseu de Brito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Capibaribe Stars and the Alex Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th match minute, Capibaribe Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseu de Brito to maneuver through the defense. Raimundo Camargo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ion Chificeac tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Capibaribe Stars's Váldson de Sena seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Váldson de Sena the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Capibaribe Stars protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Váldson de Sena had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 46th minute, one of Capibaribe Stars:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Capibaribe Stars. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raimundo Camargo made a kick off. If Tadeu da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Capibaribe Stars! When Capibaribe Stars's Raimundo Camargo in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alex Team's goalie prevented a goal. Tadeu da Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cornel Bodiu scored 2-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sérgio Queiroz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 74th minute Ricardo Erosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sérgio Queiroz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 김 즙's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Raimundo Camargo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ion Chificeac, 2-2. After a rather tough play, Alex Team's Ricardo Erosa got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute, Pedro Luiz Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute, Cornel Bodiu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alex Team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raimundo Camargo in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ion Chificeac saved Alex Team from getting behind. Ion Chificeac showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimundo Camargo, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. 96 minutes into the match, Capibaribe Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Cornel Bodiu came free, but Sérgio Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Alex Team booed when Capibaribe Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serginho Koehler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alex Team's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
