When Linus Todal fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rakkestad IF's protests and gave Linus Todal a yellow card for diving instead. After 4 played minutes Rakkestad IF got a freekick which was hit by Linus Todal. Kenneth Friis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doyle Brunson in the 9th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the game, Carl Frigstad threw the ball into play from the sideline. Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's Jörn Vassenius quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Jörn Vassenius kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Christian Halstensen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Scott Stopar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Scott Stopar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otto Klepp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Otto Klepp made a precise shot to the right of Scott Stopar. Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's Scott Stopar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK from getting a goal against them. In the 37th match minute, Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phil Ivey to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute, Christian Halstensen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 39 played minutes Rakkestad IF got a freekick which was hit by Linus Todal. Doyle Brunson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Kenneth Friis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's Scott Stopar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Halstensen in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Doyle Brunson to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Rakkestad IF got a freekick which was hit by Vetle Frydenberg. After a defensive mix-up in Rakkestad IF's zone, Christopher Stålberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenneth Friis came out of the goal and Christopher Stålberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kenneth Friis made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Doyle Brunson sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Otto Klepp in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Scott Stopar saved Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK from getting behind. Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's Scott Stopar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Klepp in the 65th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Jörn Vassenius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute Christian Halstensen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Scott Stopar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rakkestad IF's Svend Phan got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 88th match minute, Rakkestad IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans-Petter Krogh to maneuver through the defense. 90 minutes into the match, Doyle Brunson notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Rakkestad IF's Kenneth Friis. Kenneth Friis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 95th minute Otto Klepp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Scott Stopar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
