Benicio Librado hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Deportivo Pucho's Edgardo Botello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Pinho in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes into the game, Amílton dos Santos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itajaí Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Pucho the free kick. After 6 played minutes Itajaí Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Amílton dos Santos. In the 13th minute, Jailson de Senna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgardo Botello was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Pucho's zone, Luís Paulo de Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgardo Botello came out of the goal and Luís Paulo de Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Itajaí Football Club defense, Tomás Checa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christiano Cearense. The Itajaí Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christiano Cearense should have stopped the shot. Deportivo Pucho's Edgardo Botello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jailson de Senna in the 30th minute of play. Edgardo Botello came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Itajaí Football Club's Jailson de Senna. But to his dismay, Jailson de Senna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 34th minute of the match, Desiderio Ermengol tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Christiano Cearense saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jailson de Senna in the 35th minute of play forced Deportivo Pucho's goalkeeper Edgardo Botello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Itajaí Football Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Manuel Pinho in the 36th minute. Amílton dos Santos was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 40th minute, Jailson de Senna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Itajaí Football Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Jailson de Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

An unexpected shot in the 52nd minute by Amílton dos Santos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 58th minute, Desiderio Ermengol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Pucho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. In the 61st minute, Ermegildo James hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 62 played minutes Deportivo Pucho got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Tallia. The audience was convinced that Jailson de Senna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgardo Botello was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Luís Fabiano Corrêa struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Edgardo Botello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itajaí Football Club. In the 67th match minute, Deportivo Pucho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustacio Quinten to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 69 in the game by Jailson de Senna from a close distance when the talented Edgardo Botello managed to make a qualified save. Deportivo Pucho's players were relieved. Deportivo Pucho's Edgardo Botello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Paulo de Castro in the 70th minute of play. Jailson de Senna in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Edgardo Botello, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jailson de Senna who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Edgardo Botello when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Luís Fabiano Corrêa put it in 2-5 from a short distance just to the right of Edgardo Botello. Jailson de Senna's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 87thth minute, Edgardo Botello skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Jailson de Senna put it in 2-6 from a short distance just to the right of Edgardo Botello. Jailson de Senna did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-7 to the left of a surprised Edgardo Botello 93 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Itajaí Football Club walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
