The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Matias Obeko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Antônio Carlos Cavalcante made a huge save. The supporters of Legio X Eqvestris booed when Palestra do Interior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfim Quintal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guido Haritz charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guido Haritz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th minute, Guido Haritz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the game, Matias Obeko recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Antônio Carlos Cavalcante. Matias Obeko showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 16th minute Anacleto Mincho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Carlos Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante stood somewhat misplaced when Anacleto Mincho came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 17 minute. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Guido Haritz sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Legio X Eqvestris's Julio Isidor got a free kick in the 28th minute. David Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgard Michael in the 31st minute. Ulysses Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Gustavo Luzaide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 39th minute, Matias Obeko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Palestra do Interior's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guido Haritz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. The tension between the Palestra do Interior and the Legio X Eqvestris players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Palestra do Interior getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Dedé Mazer hit a great ball. Guido Haritz took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antônio Carlos Cavalcante. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0.
