Ian Fenomeni's goal looked a bit too open when Eberhardt Næsager came free, but Antonio Simone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrea Tocchetto charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Hønning's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulrik Wieder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hønning's Folmar Dandanell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Hønning from getting a goal against them. In the 69th match minute, Hønning was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eberhardt Næsager to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Andrea Tocchetto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eberhardt Næsager received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Antonio Simone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christian Schivy kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Ian Fenomeni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego De Lorenzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute, Eberhardt Næsager got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Hønning players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
