In the 19th minute Afonso Vargas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cacá Cocu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beto Martini MZ 20 years's Jochen Gijselinx got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Beto Martini MZ 20 years fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernard Fedosz should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Magno de Amaral made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Beto Martini MZ 20 years booed when Crisólia FBPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joãozinho Severiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Crisólia FBPA fans cheered their team off the field, for while Beto Martini MZ 20 years had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
