The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Lupere FC - DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmundo Toscano to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Presebal Japón in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodriguinho Sergipano saved Lupere FC - DMZ from getting behind. Cláudio Loyola hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lupere FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Sergipano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 15 played minutes SC Pfullendorf got a freekick which was hit by Zoel Nobo. The supporters of SC Pfullendorf booed when Lupere FC - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Paulo Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Loramendi Jurado took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Rodriguinho Sergipano to make any attempt to save it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
