The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Cesano Boscone booed when KKS Lech Poznań was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wincent Kempka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enrico Eleuteri made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Edmund Kosowski sent off a good shot on target. 10 minutes into the game, Edmund Kosowski recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Enrico Eleuteri. Edmund Kosowski showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Cesano Boscone's Enrico Eleuteri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmund Kosowski in the 13th minute of play. Edmund Kosowski in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Enrico Eleuteri, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Remigiusz Karp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrico Eleuteri having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davide Zoff in the 23rd minute of play forced KKS Lech Poznań's goalkeeper Boruc Praski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Davide Di Salvatore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 29 minutes into the game, Cesano Boscone's Davide Zoff nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Boruc Praski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 33 minutes, Davide Di Salvatore mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cesano Boscone and the KKS Lech Poznań players grew even worse after the yellow card. Davide Di Salvatore kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 42nd minute Edmund Kosowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrico Eleuteri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonard Wojtowicz during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ermanno De Matteis's late challenge caught a KKS Lech Poznań's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Davide Zoff could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Boruc Praski made a huge save. Wasyl Cebula hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Boruc Praski made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Dario Oberrauch sent off a good shot on target. Enrico Eleuteri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remigiusz Karp, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute.
