Zé Carlos Toscano scored 0-3 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Fabiano Baptista, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Pinheiros Capibaras FC's Dagoberto Rosa got a free kick in the 39th minute. A collision led to Clube do Remo MZ getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. A nice corner shot did that Adriano Cordeiro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Anderson Meira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The crowd rose to their feet as Enéas Guimarães kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luís Fabiano Baptista. That made the score 0-4 in the 66 minute of play. Luís Fabiano Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naldo da Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After 70 played minutes Pinheiros Capibaras FC got a freekick which was hit by Giovani Vianna. Adriano Cordeiro's late challenge caught a Clube do Remo MZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
