Cornel Bourceanu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Luís Fabiano Baptista firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpected shot in the 8th minute by Cornel Bourceanu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ivan Şumălan might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Fabiano Baptista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivan Şumălan ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Şumălan in the 16th minute of play forced Pinheiros Capibaras FC's goalkeeper Luís Fabiano Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Cornel Bourceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Juventus PTM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cornel Bourceanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cornel Bourceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Pinheiros Capibaras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Şumălan came free, but Luís Fabiano Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivan Şumălan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Fabiano Baptista having to interfere. Juventus PTM's Cornel Bourceanu got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ivan Şumălan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ivan Şumălan to make the kick off. Pinheiros Capibaras FC's Luís Fabiano Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornel Bourceanu in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Pinheiros Capibaras FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Dagoberto Rosa hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the game, Cornel Bourceanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Luís Fabiano Baptista was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Juventus PTM getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Basarab Patriciu hit a great ball. When Dagoberto Rosa came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Pinheiros Capibaras FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dagoberto Rosa couldn't finish the play. In the 70th minute, Cornel Bourceanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Fabiano Baptista was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After 76 played minutes Juventus PTM got a freekick which was hit by Codruț Bărbulescu. Luís Fabiano Baptista didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ivan Şumălan went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Luís Fabiano Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornel Bourceanu in the 83rd minute of the match. Gonçalo Leite hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornel Bourceanu in the 85th minute of play forced Pinheiros Capibaras FC's goalkeeper Luís Fabiano Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Fabiano Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornel Bourceanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Cornel Bourceanu scored 4-0 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Fabiano Baptista, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Pinheiros Capibaras FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Dagoberto Rosa hit a great ball. Pinheiros Capibaras FC's Luís Fabiano Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Şumălan in the 96th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pinheiros Capibaras FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Juventus PTM.
