Iuri Viana charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iuri Viana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th minute, Iuri Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustavo Aznar kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Glauco de Amorim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Esteve Tonio. Vinará FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Glauco de Amorim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 9 minutes of play, Catugi FC's Davi Proença made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Esteve Tonio was left in no man's land by his defense there! 13 minutes into the game, Amadeo Esquipula was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vinará FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catugi FC the free kick. A collision led to Vinará FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Amadeo Esquipula hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Gustavo Aznar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vinará FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Edelmiro Txaran's late challenge caught a Catugi FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edelmiro Txaran helped the player get up and apologised. Edelmiro Txaran hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Davi Proença struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Esteve Tonio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catugi FC. Eleuterio Frederico could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Luizão Braga made a huge save. In the 24th minute Glauco de Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteve Tonio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th match minute, Catugi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silas Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. Dida Batista hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After the first half Catugi FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Luizão Braga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustino Guter in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th minute Henrique Pimenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteve Tonio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Faustino Guter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Luizão Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vinará FC's Esteve Tonio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique Pimenta in the 75th minute of play. With his leg Esteve Tonio managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Catugi FC's Glauco de Amorim fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Catugi FC's Henrique Pimenta in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Esteve Tonio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4.
