Pinhote FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusébio Salgueiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedrinho Sergipano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedrinho Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolau Alvarenga, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Pedrinho Sergipano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Salgueiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artur Gerber during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Artur Gerber kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After 10 minutes, Herberto Bento made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Pedrinho Sergipano tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 17th minute, João Carlos Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Pedrinho Sergipano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herberto Bento in the 18th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Nicolau Alvarenga managed to get in a good position for a shot. The tension between the DIPLOMATA FC PAB and the Pinhote FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Pinhote FC booed when DIPLOMATA FC PAB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Artur Gerber got his second yellow card in the match during the 28th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Artur Gerber kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Pedrinho Sergipano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolau Alvarenga in the 30th minute of the match. Simão Braga's late challenge caught a Pinhote FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simão Braga helped the player get up and apologised. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Simão Braga was the one to do the kick off. Jerônimo Varela struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Mauro Valente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DIPLOMATA FC PAB. 59 minutes into the match, Simão Braga notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Pinhote FC's Mauro Valente. Mauro Valente was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 63 minutes into the game, Eusébio Salgueiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pedrinho Sergipano. Eusébio Salgueiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Pedrinho Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herberto Bento in the 69th minute of play. Guto Arósio's late challenge caught a Pinhote FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guto Arósio helped the player get up and apologised. Guto Arósio hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Nicolau Alvarenga was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 72nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Herberto Bento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Samuel Palmeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedrinho Sergipano was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Herberto Bento showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 97 minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Pinhote FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
