The tension between the Pinhote FC and the DIPLOMATA FC PAB players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th minute, Serafim Leão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Marquinhos Sousa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alberto Domingos was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. In the 20th minute, Herberto Bento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pinhote FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Eusébio Salgueiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Pedrinho Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedrinho Sergipano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulino Araújo in the 27th minute. Paulino Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrinho Sergipano having to interfere. In the 35th match minute, Pinhote FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Salgueiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute Simão Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Domingos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Pinhote FC's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas Queirós came free, but Alberto Domingos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Domingos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Pinhote FC's Herberto Bento got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eusébio Salgueiro hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Alberto Domingos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Simão Braga went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Alberto Domingos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marquinhos Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herberto Bento in the 68th minute of play forced DIPLOMATA FC PAB's goalkeeper Pedrinho Sergipano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guto Arósio charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guto Arósio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nicolau Alvarenga might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedrinho Sergipano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicolau Alvarenga ran back to his position shaking his head. Marquinhos Sousa charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When Herberto Bento came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Pinhote FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herberto Bento couldn't finish the play. Nicolau Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Pedrinho Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Pinhote FC were the better team. Pinhote FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
