Pedrinho Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elvio Gonsalve, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute Jimeno Olivar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrinho Sergipano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as La France FC's Sergio Arce slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pedrinho Sergipano. That made the score 1-1 after 20 minutes of play. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Pedrinho Sergipano successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Pedrinho Sergipano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvio Gonsalve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 minutes, Jimeno Olivar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La France FC and the DIPLOMATA FC PAB players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Claudinei Passos got a free kick in the 34th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elvio Gonsalve in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedrinho Sergipano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marquinhos Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Galindo having to interfere. Jose Ponc's late challenge caught a DIPLOMATA FC PAB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Ponc helped the player get up and apologised.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marquinhos Sousa was the one to do the kick off. Guto Arósio hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute, Jose Ponc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emilio Galindo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinei Passos in the 66th minute of the match. Sergio Arce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jimeno Nalo hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão Braga in the 81st minute of play forced La France FC's goalkeeper Emilio Galindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emilio Galindo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marquinhos Sousa in the 82nd minute. Jimeno Olivar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrinho Sergipano having to interfere. After 88 played minutes DIPLOMATA FC PAB got a freekick which was hit by João Carlos Martins. When Elvio Gonsalve came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the La France FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elvio Gonsalve couldn't finish the play. Efrain Bemabe charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Efrain Bemabe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. DIPLOMATA FC PAB made a substitution. Frederico Mineiro replaced João Carlos Martins. The supporters of DIPLOMATA FC PAB booed when La France FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Bemabe didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 94 played minutes, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Jerônimo Varela shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emilio Galindo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in DIPLOMATA FC PAB reached it. A collision led to La France FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Efrain Bemabe hit a great ball. La France FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing DIPLOMATA FC PAB to leave the ground with a draw.
