The audience thought a goal was coming when Diguinho Catarinense got free with Guilherme Duarte in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. MDS Soccer Club were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Diguinho Catarinense took the corner. After a rather tough play, MDS Soccer Club's Dagoberto Amorim got a free kick in the 35th minute. MDS Soccer Club's Dito de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidnei Teixeira in the 36th minute of play. Nestor Vides hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Leopoldo Travassos kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Beto Fontes was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Travassos came free, but Guilherme Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leopoldo Travassos took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guilherme Duarte. Guilherme Duarte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 60th minute Beto Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guilherme Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Washington Meira hit a great ball. Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s Guilherme Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diguinho Catarinense in the 70th minute of play. After a rather tough play, MDS Soccer Club's Beto Fontes got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Dagoberto Amorim hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. With his leg Dito de Almeida managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s Sidnei Teixeira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 82nd minute, Nestor Vides left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MDS Soccer Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. After 89 minutes of play, MDS Soccer Club's Diguinho Catarinense made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guilherme Duarte was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, MDS Soccer Club's Dito de Almeida got control of the ball when Gualter Queirós tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sidnei Teixeira struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Dito de Almeida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-. The supporters of Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- booed when MDS Soccer Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráusio Paraense didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Leopoldo Travassos fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MDS Soccer Club's protests and gave Leopoldo Travassos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 97th minute, Leopoldo Travassos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
