After 9 played minutes Club Atlético Temperley got a freekick which was hit by Teodosio Claude. If Braulio Vito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Vincente charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisco Vincente the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 15 played minutes Club Atlético Temperley got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Vincente. A collision led to Tasso FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Aloísio Leitão hit a great ball. In the 20th match minute, Club Atlético Temperley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomero Sadurni to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Temperley's goal looked a bit too open when Patrício Tomé came free, but Claudio Frances reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club Atlético Temperley's Claudio Frances played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Ribeiro in the 28th minute of play. Claudio Frances showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 33rdth minute of the game Francisco Vincente who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tasso FC's Zeferino Távora was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Severino Gouveia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Mendonça in the 44th minute of play forced Club Atlético Temperley's goalkeeper Claudio Frances to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 played minutes Club Atlético Temperley got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Lorien. After the first half Tasso FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
