Grêmio Papão de WC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Compugraf the free kick. The supporters of Compugraf booed when Grêmio Papão de WC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raí Paraibano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chico Fernandez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto Reis's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Norberto Quadros struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Chico Fernandez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grêmio Papão de WC. Joel Vidal hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Reis in the 21st minute of play forced Compugraf's goalkeeper Chico Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute Alberto Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Eduardo Miranda charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Eduardo Miranda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th minute, Luís Eduardo Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Luís Eduardo Miranda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Moisés da Silveira was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Grêmio Papão de WC's Hílton Prata was substituted for Norberto Quadros. Grêmio Papão de WC's Dadá Amorim was substituted for Alberto Reis. Raí Paraibano was shown his second yellow card after 37 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 38th minute, Raí Paraibano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dadá Amorim scored 1-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Chico Fernandez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 45 minutes into the match, Grêmio Papão de WC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Eduardo Miranda came free, but Moisés da Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dadá Amorim made a kick off. After 60 minutes, Dráuzio Queiroz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio Papão de WC and the Compugraf players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st minute, Dráuzio Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chico Fernandez was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Dadá Amorim capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dadá Amorim really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joel Vidal during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st match minute, Compugraf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Vidal to maneuver through the defense. Chico Fernandez came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Grêmio Papão de WC's Dadá Amorim. But to his dismay, Dadá Amorim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After some careless play in the Grêmio Papão de WC defense, Joel Vidal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Moisés da Silveira. The Grêmio Papão de WC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Moisés da Silveira should have stopped the shot. Grêmio Papão de WC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
