Serafim Mesquita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gervasio Matei in the 7th minute of the match. Severiano Bonifaco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César Siqueira in the 11th minute of play. After 12 played minutes Várzea F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Mendonça. Severiano Bonifaco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jailson Koehler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simbo FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when César Siqueira scored to the left of an out of position Severiano Bonifaco, making the score, 1-0. After 21 minutes, Ramiro Rosado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Várzea F.C. and the Simbo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Serafim Mesquita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Pitin in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Simbo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ramiro Rosado came free, but Severiano Bonifaco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gervasio Matei made a kick off. A collision led to Várzea F.C. getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Gervasio Matei took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Serafim Mesquita to make any attempt to save it. Gervasio Matei struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Serafim Mesquita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Simbo FC.
