Candido Millan acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 17th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Flavinho Braga. Mazinho Damiãos short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Candido Millan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Anselmo Domingues's late challenge caught a Bucéfalo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anselmo Domingues helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st match minute, Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Domingues to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mazinho Damião got free with Candido Millan in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 27th minute, Anibal Fernendo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. In the 53rdth minute of the game Nico Godoi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palermo's Candido Millan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mazinho Damião in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Candido Millan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 58th minute Flavinho Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Millan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute Bruninho Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Millan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Candido Millan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nico Godoi in the 66th minute of play. The referee showed Mazinho Damião the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Bucéfalo FC's Mazinho Damião got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 86th minute, Flavinho Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Palermo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bucéfalo FC.
