Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Serginho Arantes started the match with the kick off. Celestino Villamañan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Válbson Saraiva in the 5th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xaime Guillarte during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Diablos Rojos getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Xaime Guillarte hit a great ball. Frantxizko Serra charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frantxizko Serra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Diablos Rojos's Frantxizko Serra got a free kick in the 11th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Frantxizko Serra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diablos Rojos's supporters rose to their feet, but Frantxizko Serra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dida Little breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diablos Rojos's Celestino Villamañan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serginho Arantes in the 21st minute of play. Celestino Villamañan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dieguinho Campidelis's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Fabinho Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Válbson Saraiva took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Celestino Villamañan. Celestino Villamañan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Claudinei Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frantxizko Serra to strike the kick off in the second half. When Su Aceituno fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Diablos Rojos's protests and gave Su Aceituno a yellow card for diving instead. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Serginho Arantes got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Diablos Rojos booed when INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dieguinho Campidelis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 61 minutes of play Diablos Rojos's Frantxizko Serra was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Frantxizko Serra kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 63 minutes in the game, Fabinho Queiroz dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. A collision led to INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Carlinhos Pinho hit a great ball. After 71 played minutes Diablos Rojos got a freekick which was hit by Xaime Guillarte. Dieguinho Campidelis kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's zone, Telo Amaya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dida Little came out of the goal and Telo Amaya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st match minute, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Válbson Saraiva to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Diablos Rojos getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Xabel Barga hit a great ball. Celestino Villamañan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Válbson Saraiva in the 88th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Carlinhos Pinho got a free kick in the 95th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
